L'Escapade for an escape

The house stands free on 1000m2 in Mejannes le Clap, a small village in the Dept. Gard.

The house has a livingarea annex kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom which has been renovated early 2019 (Shower, sink and toilet) . Various appliances are available, like a dishwasher, washing machine, iron, combi-oven, electric outside grill, airconditioning in the livingroom, fireplace, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, ceramic top, dining table for 6, etc.

The house has a fenced garden of about 1000m2, a terras - partially covered - of about 25m2 with an outside fridge, deckchairs etc.

The masterbedroom has beds of 2,20m long (7'2"). The surroundings are peaceful and quiet. The air is clean and all year one can enjoy the beautiful night sky, count the falling stars and passing satellites. The neighbours are kind. Dogs may be allowed at a supplemental charge after consent has been given by the owner.

Mejannes le Clap is a small village of about 750 inhabitants. It was in 1970 almost non existant, but the Conseille du Gard stimulated growth of the village. The inhabitants are from all over, hence more acceptance for people from elsewhere. The origin goes back to about 900 AD and it was the centre for Charcoal production. All year around there are activities which one can enjoy. Amongst othes the "Cave Run" early April (Trail des Avens).
