Discover this beautiful holiday home at the foot of the Cévennes! It has a large garden and a private, secluded swimming pool. It is located in Anduze, a romantic and friendly village. This renovated stone country house dates from the 17th century and is 45 metres from Nîmes and Uzès. The exceptional Parc dAnduze is known worldwide for its rare plants, such as sequoias, giant bamboo, lotus and orchids. This holiday home is located on a large plot where you can go for short walks in peace, it also has a billiard room, a very modern kitchen, a refined decoration, a beautiful fireplace and cosy and romantically furnished bedrooms, all of which have their own marble bathroom. The bathroom in bedroom 4 is open-plan and integrated into the room. The accommodation awaits you between mountains and moors, on the edge of a lively village on the banks of the Gardon, which invites you to enjoy all kinds of activities: Swimming, sunbathing, water hiking and canyoning. Take the time to enjoy the seaside resorts along the Mediterranean coast at your leisure: Less than an hour separates you from Le Grau-du-Roi, Aigues-Mortes or La Grande-Motte, for example. The Trabuc caves with their underground waterfalls, Uzès, the Pont du Gard aqueduct bridge and the Cévennes steam train, which offers unforgettable views on its route between Anduze and Saint-Jean-du-Gard, are also nearby. The region also has several leisure parks, the racing centre in Alès for holidaymakers with petrol in their veins, charming hamlets and villages, Provençal farmers' markets and beautiful vineyards and wine cellars. The many festivities in the region include the Avignon Festival and the bullfighting festivals in both Nîmes and Arles. The Mediterranean climate makes this region a recommended holiday destination at any time of year. Bedroom 3 is an open gallery with two sleeping possibilities.

    “Das Haus ist großzügig und schön ausgestattet. Die Bilder lügen auf den ersten Blick nicht. Der Pool ist sauber und gut gepflegt. Das Grundstück ist groß und einladend. Auf den zweiten Blick gibt es jedoch Einschränkungen:
    Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist fragwürdig. Das Haus liegt direkt an einer vielbefahrenen Straße (nicht ruhig) und abends hört man deutlich die Disco des benachtbarten Campingplatzes. Der Geschirrspüler funktioniert nicht, die Spüle ist dafür ohne Verschlussstopfen, die Gartenmöbel sind wackelig, die Deckenbeleuchtung im Flur ist defekt, die Sauberkeit bei Übernahme ist fragwürdig (Beispiel: unter dem Sofa eine alte Socke, ein vertrockneter Skorpion und zerbröselte Chips, der Herd verschmiert, dreckiges Geschirr im Spüler)

    Pictures on the website show the house in a realistic way: it is large and the furniture is nice. The pool is clean and the aerea around the house is good for many purposes. However there is a number of drawback that give us the notion that the price does not relate to what the house offers:
    The house is situated next to D 907, a road that has heavy and loud traffic, - even in early morning hours and in the evening an early night you may be disturbed by the discothec of the nearby camping. The dishwasher does not clean at all, the lighting in several parts of the house does not work, the house is not really clean (e.g. unclean dishes in the dish washer, kitchen not clean, beneath the couch several items you would not tolerate in your home), the outside furniture and sunbeds are unstable and several chairs break down even if you sit down carefully.” “Das Haus ist großzügig und schön ausgestattet.
