Between the Etruscan hill towns of Chiusi and Perugia (30km each), on a hill of 700m, lies Greppolischieto, one of the most picturesque castle settlements in Umbria, overlooking Lake Trasimeno. The medieval borgo has been restored, as well as the former rectory, which is now rented as a vacation home (semi-detached). From everywhere you can enjoy a unique view over the green hilly landscape.In the well-kept garden, guests can enjoy the private pool with sun terrace, various seating areas, including one with barbecue under the shady pergola in front of the kitchen. Also: table tennis and table soccer. Guests also have free access to the private vegetable garden. This vacation house is something for Umbria lovers looking for peace and relaxation in historical and ambience and the special atmosphere of a Borgo; the location is ideal for trips to Lake Trasimeno with its beaches and lidos and excursions to the small islands (25-30km); for visits to Chiusi with its Etruscan museum, Umbria's capital Perugia, Castiglione del Lago with its castle and many small stores offering local specialties (about 30km each), the imposing Etruscan city of Orvieto is less than 50km away; for bathing in the warm thermal baths of San Casciano dei Bagni it is 40km. The nearest village is Tavernelle (9km) with stores of all kinds.On the ground floor the large well-equipped kitchen-living room, the central hub of the house; the bedrooms and bathrooms are well distributed over the three floors, on the1st floor there is also a cozy living room with fireplace.
