Paldau is known for its excellent wine, and the town organizes several wine tastings. The region has numerous beautiful hiking and cycling trails through an environment that is perfect for holiday pictures. The local farmers sell wine, eggs and drinks. Numerous excursion destinations make the Styrian volcanic region one of the most popular travel destinations from spring to autumn. Well-known excursion destinations are the Zotter Chocolate Manufactory in Riegersburg, Riegersburg Castle, Kornberg Castle in Feldbach and the historic health resort of Bad Gleichenberg.
