“In Koskinou vind je voldoende winkels om je boodschappen te doen. Heb je meer nodig dan zijn er verschillende grote supermarkten op de baan richting Rhodos stad.
Er zijn verschillende drank- en eetgelegenheden. Wij waren enthousiast over 'Ta Mantala', een zeer authentiek restaurant met lekkere traditionele gerechten en met live muziek op vrijdag-en zaterdagavond.
Het is leuk om in de straten van Koskinou te wandelen en te genieten van alle gekleurde huizen en voordeuren, van het huis van cultuur, van de typische steentjes die ze op Rhodos gebruiken, van de bloemen.”

“Koskinou ist ein netter Ort mit einem kleinem Zentrum und einer handvoll (sehr guter!) Restaurants. Hervorzuheben ist die Nähe zu Rhodos-Stadt, die gute Anbindung an die Schnellstraße Richtung Inselsüden (Lindos...) und die Nähe zum Flughafen. Um einige schöne Strände zu erreichen empfiehlt sich allerdings ein Mietwagen.”

“The small village of Koskinou is just a 10-minute walk away where there’s a selection of traditional Greek restaurants, we had some fantastic meals here, restaurants recommended by the hosts and again were very reasonably priced. There are several small grocery stores in Koskinou within walking distance of the villa. There is also a Lidl along with other larger stores about a 10-minute drive away.

The villa is a great base for exploring the rest of the island which we did by car, we drove into Rhodes town a couple of evenings which was about a 20-minute drive, Nancy, the other villa host, advised us where to park which was so easy and only 5 euros. We visited Kallithea Springs which is a must and further south we visited Lindos which was beautiful but be warned it gets so hot in the afternoon heat. On the way we stopped off at Agathi beach for the morning, a lovely sandy beach with shallow waters, perfect for children.

The hosts Nancy and Christoforos were contactable at any time throughout our stay and were more than helpful. The villa had lots of lovely touches such as a blackboard outside which my daughter loved, fridges on all the floors to keep water cool, Nancy even prepared us a traditional Greek dish to enjoy on our last day. When it was sadly time to go home we were also allowed to make use of the villa until we needed to leave for our night flight, a very welcome gesture particularly with the long journey ahead. Christoforos again chaperoned us to the airport, helping with our luggage.

We had a fantastic time in this stunning villa and would highly recommend a stay here. Don’t be put off by the lack of reviews, we almost were but I’m so glad we took the chance, we certainly weren’t disappointed.

Our only one complaint is that we had to come home ☹”

“Alles in der Nähe, jedoch ist ein Mietwagen unbedingt erforderlich. Im Ort selbst kann man sehr gut und günstig essen, auch abseits der üblichen Touristenlokale. Die Stadt ist innerhalb weniger Minuten zu erreichen und abendliche wie auch tägliche Ausflüge sind ein absolutes Muß. Viele Strände der Ostküste sind innerhalb weniger Minuten (Kies) bis zu einer halben Stunde (Sand) zu erreichen. Der Ort ist für einen Aufenthalt auf Rhodos ideal gelegen und wir würden immer wieder genau dorthin.”
