    “Einkaufen kann man in Steenwijk, dort sind Aldi, Lidl und Jumbo vorhanden. Ein Supermarkt hat auch Sonntag von 13-18 Uhr geöffnet. Das Ijsselmeer ist ca. 30 Min. Fahrtzeit entfernt. Möglichkeiten wie Bowling, Paintpall, findet man in ca. 30 km Entfernung. In Giethoorn gibt es eine super mäßige Pizzeria Fionelli. Die ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.”

    “Der nächste Ort Steenwijk ist mit dem Auto in etwa 5-8 min. zur erreichen und es gibt gute Parkmöglichkeiten, Geschäfte, Tankstelle, Restaurants. Uns hat die Gegend um Steenwijk (herrliche Buchenwälder) oder die Landschaft allgemein östlich des IJsselmeers sehr gut gefallen. Es ist hier merklich ruhiger und auch günstiger als westlich des Binnenmeeres. Für reine Bade-Urlaube sind die Gebiete an der Nordsee und im Westen sicher besser geeignet.
    Die großen Sehenswürdigkeiten gibt es in Steenwijk nicht, doch mit den Autobahnen (im Top-Zustand) erreicht man binnen 1,5 Stunden auch Den Helder und Amsterdam.”
